El Camino in Fremont Restaurant Review

I went to El Camino in Fremont last Saturday with a group of friends. El Camino was crowded so we ended up sitting in the last remaining table in the bar. As we ate more people shuffled to the bar for drinks until it was standing room only. Even the outside deck was packed to capacity. Two reasons why El Camino was so crowded that weekend was because there was a Huskies game that just ended, and everyone’s favorite event called Fremont’s Oktoberfest was winding down as well. If that wasn’t enough everyone was in a partying mode because the Seahawks were playing the Giants the next day. I ordered the Carne Asada Tacos that came with beans and rice. Even though the Mexican restaurant was crowed our food was served in less than a half an hour. I took the first bite and it tasted gourmet compared with most Mexican restaurants. The steak had a great subtle marinated flavor and the tacos were loaded with several varieties of cheese. The flavor was unlike any other Mexican restaurant I’ve been to. I was surprised in a very good way with the unusual flavors, presentation, and quality of ingredients. Due to the medium as opposed to extra large portion sizes I had room in my stomach for a Dos XX Beer. I didn’t feel completely stuffed at the end of the meal. The beans and rice where also delicious, nothing too special about the recipe, pretty much a standard take on these dishes. El Camino was a great Mexican restaurant that I will go back to. I’d try to make reservations first so you don’t end up sitting in the bar; it can get a little hectic in there on the weekends. There was this one waitress working there that I swear never stopped moving in the 2 hours that we were sitting down, she definitely needs a raise! Even though the waiters and waitresses are overworked the service was top notch.

Northlake Tavern and Pizza House Review

I went to the Northlake Tavern and Pizza House yesterday and from what I've read it's the best pizza anywhere. So I came into the whole ordeal with high expectations. The wait time on the pizza was about 30 minutes. When the pepperoni pizza was served I was first struck on how heavy it was. The pizza was loaded with tons of pepperoni and cheese. The pepperoni at the Northlake Tavern and Pizza House is more like sliced sausage than the thin sliced pepperoni you're used to at chain pizza houses. It tastes spicy and delicious. The crust is thick yet flaky. I love their pizza, but I wouldn't say it's the best I've ever had. I'd give the pizza an 8.5 on the taste scale and a 10 on the portions scale. I'll definitely be back there some ordering one of their supreme pizzas. I'm all about toppings when it comes to pizzas. Chicago style all the way!

Energy Drinks Reviewed, XTZ Kosmic Kola and SOBE NO FEAR

I like energy drinks so I had to give my two cents into this blog entry. My all time favorite energy drink is called XTC Kosmic Kola and as far as I know it's only sold locally here in Seattle WA at QFC stores. Lucky for you they have a web site where you can order the product. Visit www.xtz.com for product and ordering information. The Komic Kola has a very unique taste. The thing that I like about the XTZ Company is that they are a local company only using quality ingredients; the Kola isn't artificial like national brands. This is why some who try the Kola are put off by its distinct flavor. Another nationally available favorite drink is called SOBE NO FEAR energy drink. It tastes a lot like the other energy drinks on the market, but it packs a good energy kick. Read more about XTZ Energy Drinks and SOBE NO FEAR at energydrinkreviews.com (Read reviews about all energy drinks here, a very helpful site).
